Michele Lenehan

I have drawn as a hobby since I was a child when my mother would never return from a shopping trip to Dublin without a new box of ‘Flying Eagle ‘ crayons for me.

I paint in pen and ink, watercolour and oils and have recently been introduced to encaustic painting, ie., applying hot pigmented wax with an iron.

My inspiration comes from the Wicklow hills with its ever-changing tapestry of light and colours. I love to paint streetscapes and have done several of the picturesque village of Hollywood where I live. I have also painted pet portraits with dogs , hens and horses proving popular subjects.
As well as being involved with Cruthu, I am a member of Naas Art Group. Some of my paintings can be seen in Hollywood Cafe and a collection of past and current work can be viewed on my Facebook page, Michele Scott-Lenehan Art. ..
